Recommended reading

I'm just getting into it, but I can tell that one of my favorite tech books of 2009 is going to be David S. Linthicum's book Cloud Computing and SOA Convergence in Your Enterprise: A Step-by-Step Guide.  It is practically written, and highlights the tremendous opportunity that combining SOA (Service-Oriented Architecture) with implementation using Cloud, can have in the area of business transformation.  He makes a great case for SOA as part of an IT Risk Management approach because of the strong governance that SOA (at least good SOA) requires.
